The Corridor is a unique business location, at the heart of Manchester’s knowledge economy, covering some 243 hectares with a 55,000 strong workforce. It is home to two of the UK’s leading universities The University of Manchester, and Manchester Metropolitan University, and The Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – making the Corridor is not only the largest academic campus in the UK but also the largest clinical academic campus in Europe.

Corridor Manchester is a unique type of partnership. It brings together Manchester Metropolitan University, The University of Manchester, the Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Bruntwood with the aim of ensuring that the Corridor is the leading UK location for knowledge-based businesses, research & development and learning and knowledge.
As well as investing millions of pounds developing their own campuses, the partners actively engage in projects that contribute even more to the future success of the Corridor.

If the answer is yes, and you are located in (or want to move to) Corridor Manchester then you might be eligible for the Corridor Growth Fund.
The Corridor Growth Fund is a £2 million fund, supported by the Government’s Regional Growth Fund to provide grant funding for Research & Development related jobs growth.

The scheme runs from April 2013 until 31st March 2015 and is expected to support the creation of at least 100 full-time jobs. The maximum grant any one applicant can receive during the period is 200,000 Euros. Conditions apply. Decisions about grant funding awards are made by the Advisory Panel.
