Manchester Academy
Manchester Academy
Manchester Academy is a brand name used by the University of Manchester Students’ Union for its four concert venues on the Corridor. Since records began in 1963 the Manchester Academy has been an iconic music venue for signed and unsigned bands alike.
It has hosted the likes of Velvet Underground, Ian Brown, The Stranglers, Joe Cocker, The Who, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, The Pretenders, The Cure, Blur,
Oasis, Nirvana, Coldplay, The Gorillaz, Dido and Katy Perry.
It is still a place to discover new music and of course, to be discovered.
