Cornerhouse

Cornerhouse is Manchester’s international centre for contemporary visual arts and film.

It is located in the heart of the city and open seven days a week. The Cornerhouse has three floors of contemporary art galleries, 3 screens showing the best of independent cinema, a bar, café and a bookshop. They also operate Cornerhouse Publications, an international distribution service for contemporary visual arts book and catalogues.Cornerhouse’s patrons are Danny Boyle, Damien Hirst and Helen Mirren.

The Cornerhouse mission is to be a place where audiences, artists and filmmakers are brought together to experience and debate cultural practice and ideas through a unique programme that aims to stimulate, entertain and inform.

The Cornerhouse is set to join forces with the Library Theatre Company in a stunning purpose-built £19M new home on the northern side of First Street.
