Brunswick Private Finance Initiative

The Brunswick Private Finance Initiative (PFI) area covers over 1,000 homes – mostly council-owned housing. It lies less than a mile from the city centre, south from the Mancunian Way, between Upper Brook Street and Ardwick Green.

The PFI would bring in massive investment to transform Brunswick. The plans include:

• Improving council homes to good modern standards – which could include new kitchens and bathrooms
• Creating new high-quality homes for sale and for rent with a good mix of property types and values
• Improving the layout of the neighbourhood with well-kept streets and safe open spaces
• Upgrading local shopping and community facilities
• Making good use of the infant school and health centre empty sites
