Professor John Brooks

Professor John Brooks was appointed Vice-Chancellor of Manchester Metropolitan University on 1 September 2005. This follows seven years as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Wolverhampton and previously various posts at Sheffield Hallam University.

His main interest has been the development of vocational education and the improvement of educational opportunities at all levels. He strongly supports the increase in participation and widening access and believes that higher education should be available to all who can benefit from it.
